hope you are all enjoying your weekend today was the santa claus parade so i guess its offically the christmas season i just got a new tree so now i am wondering when i should put my tree up when do you all put your tree up ? now get ready here are my favorite pins this week

hello everyone

well i found this great website called pintrest its like a virtual pinboard or a place to keep all your favorite websites now before pintrest i must of had hundreds of bookmarks for favorite crafts, sewing projects etc... now i just post them on pintrest only one problem....... its very addictive i go on everyday and find something new to pin and now i have 42 boards all with diffrent topics i think i have gone way overboard. i even went as far to install the pin it button on google chrome and is it just weird that i made a board for wedding stuff but i'm already married ? Now don't get me wrong this is a great website for everyone it elminates all theoes bookmarks and all thoes ideas you just want to try but me and many of my friends have become addicted to pintrest there is so many blogs and websites with sooooooo many ideas for my home , crafts, sewing and so much more why not have a place to put it all ? just to give you an idea here is some of the things i have found on pintrest .

tuesday's blog hop favorite recipe

I love the show by Michael Smith called Chef At Home my favorite epsode has to be the one called Lemonade Stand so i thought why not have a recipe (or two) from that epsode so first is the homemade lemonade recipe

Fresh Squeezed Lemonade
4 cups sugar
8 cups water
Zest of 4 lemons
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (4-6 lemons)
4 tbsp grated ginger
Pinch salt
Ice

Directions:

Fresh Squeezed Lemonade

Pour the sugar into a saucepan along with 2 cups of the water. Add the lemon zest and bring to a simmer. Continue cooking until the sugar has completely dissolved. Turn the heat off and stir in grated ginger and salt. Pour into a large pitcher and add 6 cups of water and plenty of ice. Stir well.

Note : to make it pink put a little of gendline syurp ( the stuff you put in shirly temples)

now what is lemoade with out old fasion dougnuts

Homemade Doughnuts

Ingredients:

For the doughnuts

4 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp ground nutmeg
1/2 stick (2 ounces, 1/4 cup or 4 tablespoons) of butter, melted
3/4 cup buttermilk
3 eggs
For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup ground cinnamon

Directions:

For the doughnuts

In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and nutmeg. In a separate bowl, whisk together the butter, buttermilk and eggs. Pour into the dry ingredients and stir well until combined and the mixture forms a dough.
On a floured surface roll the dough until it's about 1” thick. Cut out doughnuts using a 3” round cutter and then cut out the centers with a half inch round cutter.
Drop the doughnuts into the hot oil and fry until they are golden and float to the top. Flip and fry on both sides. Drain on paper towels.

For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating

Whisk together the sugar and cinnamon and toss the hot doughnuts in the mixture.
